Well, it’s true, time does fly. There is a photograph of our children that has been hanging in our entryway for about 10 years, but it seems like it was taken just yesterday. Now that our oldest is in high school and our younger two are in middle school, my husband and I thought it was time to have a new photograph taken. I didn’t know any photographers but had seen some of Rolf’s work at a local show, and was impressed! I decided to reach out to see if he could help us with our “updating” mission, and he agreed.
As soon as we arrived at his home studio, he and his lovely wife, Celeste, made us feel completely at ease. While photographing the kids, Rolf made easy conversation, sharing anecdotes about photography and history, all the while noticing every detail with an artist’s eye and making subtle seating arrangement changes in order to capture a really great moment. I could tell that my kids were enjoying their time with Rolf!
At the end of the shoot, Rolf helped us to narrow down the photos and choose the one that everyone felt really great about! We are so excited to now have a beautiful updated portrait of our kids for the entryway. We’ll be sure not to wait another 10 years before contacting Rolf for our next family portrait!
